15 things that happen when you understand yourself, when you are in touch with your inner self.

Introspection, is the process of looking into your soul and connecting with it. It is a key ingredient for happiness, growth and success in life.
Introspection brings in Self-awareness.

15 things that happen when you understand yourself, when you are in touch with your inner self.

  1. You know what you are and what you are not, you know what your longings are and more importantly why.
  2.  You see are your strengths, you see your flaws but with objectivity, not as flaws but as part of your construct. You learn to mould them to achieve constructive outcomes.
  3. You realize that your traits which are seemingly flaws, are actually a core part of you and in fact a foundation for all that is good in you.
  4. You accept yourself. Your authentic self.
  5. You understand your thought process and how different or similar it is to others. You now become more tolerant and understanding towards difference of opinions.
  6. You challenge yourself to grow in the direction you were meant to, in line with who you are and not in the direction others want you to. You find your passions.
  7. You are not scared now to look into your own wounds, read them, learn from them and heal them with your own love and compassion.
  8. You promise to stand by yourself come what may.
  9. You need less and less external validation. You become more self-confident.
  10. You now truly love yourself.
  11. Your need for external acceptance reduces. Which makes you emotionally more independent and content within yourself.
  12. You are peaceful and happier.
  13. You love others better. You are able to love others truly unconditionally without a dire need of reciprocation.
  14. You are more tolerant to the flaws in others because you recognize your own flaws and accept them.
  15. You are more compassionate to the pain in others, because you have read and understood your own pain very closely.

Self-awareness is the pre-requisite to “Being your authentic self” , “Loving yourself” and “Loving Others”. Without this basic knowledge and understanding about yourself you will never be what you are truly meant to be and will not be able to love the real you, but perhaps only your ego.
